AHADI works for countries on their journey to self-reliance using analysis and evidence to identify, deliver, and impact health needs. In all areas of work, we focus on applied analytics and leaving local capacity in place when a program of work ends.

Analyze for Impact

We work with data and analytics, from simple to advanced, including the use of AI, to inform decisions and solve priority health needs. We promote systems thinking for sustainable impact through multi-disciplinary approaches to health priority-setting.

Health Systems Strengthening

We focus on evidence-informed priority-setting through the inter-linked processes of strengthening national data systems, subnational health and disease risks analyses, impact evaluations, and the development of national health sector and disease strategic plans.

Disease Programmes

We support countries to implement subnational tailoring of health interventions and strategies for impact on malaria and maternal and child health programmes. In our programme-specific work, we are deliberate in ensuring linkages with analytics for the broader national health sector priority-setting.

Health Emergencies

Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest frequency of epidemics globally. AHADI will respond to countries’ analytics needs in order to strengthen health emergency preparedness and responses at national and subnational levels.

We offer competitive fellowship programs for public health analysts and public health practitioners centered around continuous mentorship and practicum experience.

We work with ministries of health to identify their analytical and data capacity development needs, then co-design and implement training initiatives to address those needs.

Library of Resources

Our library is a collated series of open-access resources, databases, code, references, and training materials related to applied health analytics, health systems, and systems thinking.

Knowledge Networks

We provide platforms for those who are passionate about applied public health analytics to interact, giving everyone an opportunity to learn together.
